Field.fx and vHive show how digital site data can become a competitive advantage

Digital Twin
EMF/EME analyses

Collaboration integrates digital twins with EMF/EME analyses and creates an end-to-end process from data collection to site validation

The digitization of telecommunications infrastructure requires precise site data and reliable planning parameters. With this in mind vHive and Field.fx customers will be able to integrate digital site models and EMF/EME analyses into a seamless engineering process in the future.

This collaboration combines vHive’s digital twin technology with Field.fx’s engineering and planning expertise in the area of electromagnetic fields (EMF/EME). The goal is to improve the data base for site assessments, technical analyses and regulatory compliance while simultaneously reducing manual interfaces between data collection and engineering.

To achieve this, vHive uses AI-powered data collection to create digital 3D models of cellular sites and their surroundings. Field.fx uses this data as the basis for electromagnetic simulations, site assessments and support for permit processes. The result is a digitally supported workflow that extends from site surveys through technical analysis to final site validation.

More precise planning criteria for modern mobile networks

Up-to-date information about the current situation on site is crucial for reliable EMF/EME assessments. In many projects, however, only limited up-to-date site documentation is available. Digital twins offer the ability to map the actual situation at a site in an efficient, structured and traceable manner.

The combination of digital site models and EMF/EME expertise enables network operators, tower companies and infrastructure operators to conduct technical assessments and permitting processes based on a consistent data set. At the same time the need for additional on-site inspections can be reduced and technical analyses can be prepared more efficiently.

In addition the digitized workflow supports faster technical preparation of infrastructure projects and creates a robust basis for decisions regarding the planning, expansion and operation of telecommunications networks. “Well-founded engineering decisions require a reliable data set. By integrating digital site models into our processes, we can perform technical assessments, EMF/EME analyses and regulatory compliance evaluations based on up-to-date site information. This increases planning reliability and reduces the effort required for additional on-site data collection.” Niels Bock, Managing Director of Field.fx.

“Linking digital twins with specialized engineering applications extends the value of digital site data beyond mere documentation. Together with Field.fx, we are laying the base for an end-to-end digital workflow, from data collection to technical analysis.” Yariv Geller, CEO and co-founder of vHive.
